Screwed-Up Time

“Screwed-Up Time” is a distinctive sculptural artwork that explores the passage of time, the beauty of imperfection, and our relationship with moments that can never be recovered. At its heart lies an elongated piece of naturally weathered wood, preserving the cracks, textures, and irregularities shaped by time itself. Carefully integrated glass inlays, featuring subtle variations in color and pattern, create rhythmic accents along the wooden surface, suggesting the many layers of passing time. The sculpture's defining feature is a circular clock face surrounding the wooden form. Its traditional numerals contrast with the unconventional composition, while the absence of clock hands challenges our familiar understanding of how time is measured. The interplay between raw wood, refined glass, and the symbolic clock creates a fascinating dialogue between nature, craftsmanship, and human perception. With a touch of irony and a deeper philosophical meaning, “Screwed-Up Time” invites the viewer to reflect on the unpredictable nature of life and the moments that shape our existence. A truly one-of-a-kind artwork, created as a single, unrepeatable piece.
