The Process of Creation
Every glass sculpture is the result of an intense physical and technical journey. Working with molten glass leaves no room for error; precision is measured in seconds and degrees.
Sketches & Chemistry
Every piece begins on the drafting table. After designing the geometry, we calculate the exact glass composition and metal-oxide ratios that will create the signature inner coloration.
The Furnace & Shaping (1200°C)
The raw components are melted down in the kiln. The molten glass is gathered and shaped using blowpipes or hand tools under intense heat, where the fluid mass hardens within seconds.
Controlled Annealing
The hot object is transferred to an annealing oven. Here, the temperature is lowered incredibly slowly over several days to relieve internal thermal stress. Rushing this would cause the piece to shatter instantly.
Cold Working & Diamond Polishing
Once completely cooled, the glass undergoes days of rigorous hand-carving, grinding, and polishing using diamond wheels. This phase brings out the sharp facets that capture and bend light.
