Balance

“Balance” is a distinctive sculptural artwork that explores the relationship between nature, craftsmanship, and the quiet harmony found in contrasting materials. At the heart of the composition lies an elongated piece of naturally weathered wood. Its deep cracks, fragmented ends, and richly textured surface preserve the visible marks of time, celebrating the raw and unpredictable beauty of nature. Delicate glass inlays wrap around the wooden form in carefully arranged bands. Their subtle tones and precise patterns create a compelling contrast with the irregular grain and rugged character of the wood. A weathered metal support forms an essential part of the sculpture. Its rusted surface introduces an industrial element while providing a visual counterpoint to the warmth of the wood and the refinement of the glass. Positioned at an angle, the wooden body appears to hover between movement and stillness, creating a subtle tension between instability and equilibrium. Through the interplay of three distinct materials, “Balance” reflects the idea that true harmony does not require perfection. Instead, it emerges from the coexistence of differences. Created as a single, unrepeatable piece, this one-of-a-kind sculpture celebrates the beauty of natural imperfection and artistic expression.
